William Thompson

William was born on August 10th, 1747 in Albemarle, Surry Co., Virginia.¹ William's father was William Thompson and his mother was Hannah Bell. His maternal grandparents were JOHN Bell and HANNAH STOKES. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Balaam, Susannah, Mary Martha, Sarah, Hannah and Elizabeth Ann. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 50 in 1797 in Chatham , North Carolina.¹
