Peter was born on June 14th, 1821 in Monroe Co., WV.1 Peter's father was John Meadows and his mother was Elizabeth Wyant. His paternal grandparents were FRANCIS M. Meadows and MARY Kesiah Bell. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Phillip, John, James J., Emanuel, Samuel P., Henderson Ward, Christopher Parkerson, Kesiah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Sarah and Catherine. He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 70 on June 14th, 1891 in Staffordsville, Giles Co., VA.1 -
