Henderson Ward was born on March 9th, 1829 in Monroe Co., Virginia.1 Henderson Ward's father was John Meadows and his mother was Elizabeth Wyant. His paternal grandparents were FRANCIS M. Meadows and MARY Kesiah Bell. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Phillip, John, James J., Peter, Emanuel, Samuel P., Christopher Parkerson, Kesiah, Elizabeth, Nancy, Sarah and Catherine. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children. He died about December 8th, 1894 in Giles Co., West Virginia.2 -
