Martha A. E. was born about 1864.¹ Martha A. E.'s father was Peter Meadows and her mother is Sophronia Stafford. Her paternal grandparents were John Meadows and Elizabeth Wyant. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William Parkie, Charles A. E., Andrew, Ballard, Erastus S. R., James Earl, May and L. M.. She is the fourth youngest of the nine children.
