Andrew J. was born in 1857.¹ Andrew J.'s father was Sampson Gilbert Meadows and his mother was Mary Ellen Skeens. His paternal grandparents were JORDAN Meadows and Susannah Payne. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William Lewis, John L., Sarah E. and Susan E.. He was the second oldest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named James, Phillip H., Emma E., Mary B. and Alwilda.¹
