JORDAN was born in 1798 in Bedford County, Virginia.1 JORDAN's father is Jacob Meadows and his mother is MARY ARRINGTON. His paternal grandparents were FRANCIS M. Meadows and MARY Kesiah Bell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ephraim, Adam H., Jeremiah, Jacob, Elizabeth Ann, Rhoda, Nancy and Mary. He died about 1870.2 General Notes
