Andrew J. was born in 1834 in Mercer County, Virginia.1 Andrew J.'s father was JORDAN Meadows and his mother was Susannah Payne. His paternal grandparents are Jacob Meadows and MARY ARRINGTON. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Ballard Phillip, Sampson Gilbert, Floyd W., William L., Elizabeth, Eleanor and Mary Ellen. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ballard P., Sampson M., Floyd W., John R., Eleanor, RHODA and Luresa.1 -
