FRANCES Lea 
FRANCES was born on December 2nd, 1761 in Cobbs Creek, Orange County (present day Caswell County), North Carolina.1 FRANCES' father was GEORGE Lea and her mother was *LUCY Talbert. Her paternal grandparents were WILLIAM Lea and *FRANCES WHITE; her maternal grandparents were JOHN TALBERT and MARGARET Webster. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Ransom, Temple, Green, Sarah, Rhoda, Eunice, Judith and Letty. She was the oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 40 in 1801 in Reeds Valley, Russell County, Virginia.1 General Notes
