CATHERINE Anne was born in 1624 in Charles City County, Virginia.1 CATHERINE Anne's father was SAMUEL Ironmonger and her mother was BRIDGET Cordray. Her paternal grandparents were SAMUEL Ironmonger and ANNA Lawson; her maternal grandfather was WILLIAM Cordray and her maternal grandmother is BRIDGETT Goddard. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named William, Francis, Cordray, Bridgett, Anne, Elizabeth, Martha, Eleanor, Margaret and Jane. She is the oldest of the eleven children.-
