Peter Dingess 
Peter was born on December 16th, 1776 in Montgomery Co, Virginia.1 Peter's father was JOHANNES Peter Dingess and his mother was MARY Smith. His paternal grandparents are MICHAEL DINGESS and GERTRUDE; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Smith and Barbara Dunbar Anderson. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named William, Charles Anderson, John, Elizabeth, Susannah, MARY, Ann, Sarah, Margaret and Harriett. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. Peter Dingess II was a Justice of the Peace for Cabell county for a long time.
A deed from Samuel Lewis to Peter Dinglass (most definitely Peter Dingess Jr.) for 500 acres in the county of Logan, presented and certified to the clerk of Logan. (Court Record Book 1828-1835. Geeenbriar Co. VA records by Shuck.)
The will of Charles Anderson Dingess claims that Peter was already dead when the will was written in July 1835. Previously we had a date of circa 1849, which appears to be erroneous.
‌Peter and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on January 17th, 1806 in Kanawha Co., Virginia.1 They had four sons and five daughters, named Guy, William Anderson, John, Charles F., Matilda, Polly, Julia Y., Minerva and Harriet.

William Anderson was born on October 30th, 1806 in Logan Co., Virginia.2 He died at the age of 87 on December 13th, 1893 in Mingo County, West Virginia.1
John Dingess
John was born on February 21st, 1812 in Logan Co., Virginia.2 He died after 1880 in Logan Co., West Virginia.3
