James Monroe Fowler 
James Monroe was born on September 9th, 1862 in Chatham Co. NC. James Monroe's father was John G. Fowler and his mother was Mary Allen. His paternal grandparents were James Fowler and Nancy Hannah Thomas; his maternal grandparents were Simeon Allen and Hannah Woody. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John Joseph, Siamon Arlendo, David Zeno, Charles Matton, William, Mary Adeline, Hannah Belle, Nancy Caroline, Rachal Sinie, Minnie Elizabeth and Daisey Victoria. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 75 on April 30th, 1938.-
