Francis Marion Smart 
Francis Marion was born in 1832 in AL.1 Francis Marion's father was Cornelious Smart and his mother was Temperance Rushing. His paternal grandparents were James, Jr. Smart and Piety Ledbetter; his maternal grandparents were Mathew Malachi Rushing and Elizabeth Thornhill. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Edward, Malachi A., Charles Richard, Henry Porter, Sefsee, Eliza M., Isabel Jane and Caroline Temperance. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died in ?.1 -
