Oby Zeb was born on September 24th, 1889 in Tidwell Prairie, TX.1 Oby Zeb's father was Zebulon Thomas Rushing and his mother was Josephine Emily Yarberry. His paternal grandparents were Oliver Hazard Perry Rushing and Irene E. Weaver; his maternal grandparents were William Frank Yarberry and Nancy Ann Dodd. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Oliver Franklin, Charles Thomas, William Jackson, Arthur Louis, Joe Roy, Guy Townsend, Exer Emily, Minneola, Elsja V., Estelle and Ethel Mary. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 50 on December 18th, 1939 in Fall Co., TX.1 General Notes
