Exer Emily was born on January 23rd, 1881 in Near Hammond, TX.1 Exer Emily's father was Zebulon Thomas Rushing and her mother was Josephine Emily Yarberry. Her paternal grandparents were Oliver Hazard Perry Rushing and Irene E. Weaver; her maternal grandparents were William Frank Yarberry and Nancy Ann Dodd. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Oliver Franklin, Charles Thomas, William Jackson, Oby Zeb, Arthur Louis, Joe Roy, Guy Townsend, Minneola, Elsja V., Estelle and Ethel Mary. She was the third oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 62 on March 27th, 1943 in Calvert, Robertson Co., TX. She was buried in Calvert Cemetary, Calvert, Robertson Co., TX.1 1 -
