Vesta Miller 
Vesta was born on November 21st, 1890 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Vesta's father was John Thomas Miller and his mother was Mary Virginia Smith. His paternal grandparents were James Miller and Mary Gibson; his maternal grandparents were John Alexander, Sr. Smith and Nancy Logan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John Henry Archer, James Emanuelbert, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Fisk Colonel, Amanda Alice, Rosa Bell, Mary Atlantic and Ollie Pearl. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 83 on March 22nd, 1974 in Sylacauga, Talladega Co., AL. Vesta Miller, as a boy, grew an acre of corn which turned out 156
bushels. This record still stands in Coosa County for the most corn grown
per acre. This project was the forerunner of the 4 H Club organization in
Coosa County. In adult life, Vesta Miller has owned and operated a lumber
and supply business in Sylacauga. (1)

‌Vesta and Allison Lorene were married in a religious ceremony in June 1920 in Talladega, Talladega Co., AL.1 They had two sons and two daughters, named Vesta, Jr., Bloyce, Helen and Dorthy Dean.

MILLER - BAZEMORE
Cupid designed a little romantic marriage last Sunday, culminating in
Vester Miller and Miss Bazemore being made husband and wife.
The romance was not in run away marriage, but out of the ordinary.
They decided to surprise their friends, and secretly went to Talladega,
Ala., and were married there, returning home , and to Rockford Tuesday.
Mr. Miller is one of Coosa County's best citizen, and Miss Bazemore
is one of Coosa County's fairest daughters, and the oldest daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bazemore, of near Weogufka.
The Chronicle joins their many friends in wishing them a long, happy
