Vesta, Jr. was born on April 25th, 1921 in Bentlyville, Coosa Co., AL.1 Vesta, Jr.'s father was Vesta Miller and his mother was Allison Lorene Bazemore. His paternal grandparents were John Thomas Miller and Mary Virginia Smith; his maternal grandparents were Harvey Bazemore and Etta (?). He had a brother and two sisters, named Bloyce, Helen and Dorthy Dean. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 80 on January 2nd, 2002 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL. Was born in the Miller homeplace in Bentlyville in a room that was added
to the left side of the house.
Vesta Jr. was in the Air Force during WWII. Was gone for 30 months,
6 months in France and Germany and 24 months in England. He was an
engine mechanic/sheet metal worker on field.

VESTA MILLER JR.
SYLACAUGA-- Funeral service for Vesta Miller Jr., 80, will be Friday at
2 p.m.
at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with Dr. Glenn Connor
officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Miller died Jan. 2 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in
Birmingham. He was a Member of First United Methodist Church and was a
veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Miller Endicott of Birmingham
and Elaine Miller Robertson of Dothan; two sisters, Helen Hollis of
Ocala, Fla., and Dot Aulabaugh of Port Charlotte, Fla.: three
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the
funeral home.
Pallbearers will be J. Dennis, Matt Robertson, Stuart Robertson, Wayne
Miller, Craig Miller and Chip McEwen.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
