Nedam Gray was born on November 7th, 1858.1 Nedam Gray's father was Overstreet Wiley Garrett and his mother was Elizabeth A. Roberson. His paternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert Jonathan, Joseph Henry, George, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza Jane and Susan Caroline. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joshua Hill, James Monroe, John Coleman, Thomas Jefferson, Frances Sara, Rebecca Virginia and Martha Jane. He died at the age of 62 on August 15th, 1921. He was buried in Hatcher Cemetery, Freeport, Walton County, Florida.1 1 -
