John Coleman Garrett 
John Coleman was born on September 20th, 1850 in Wellborn, Coffee County, Alabama.1 John Coleman's father was Overstreet Wiley Garrett and his mother was Martha P Bozeman. His paternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joshua Hill, James Monroe, Thomas Jefferson, Frances Sara, Rebecca Virginia and Martha Jane. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert Jonathan, Nedam Gray, Joseph Henry, George, Mary Elizabeth, Eliza Jane and Susan Caroline. He died at the age of 67 in 1917. He was buried in Magnolia Cemetery, DeFuniak Springs, Florida.1 1 -
