Starkey Castellaw

Starkey was born in 1793 in Bertie Co., NC.¹ Starkey's father was James C. Castellaw and his mother was Elizabeth Cobb. His paternal grandparents were John Castellaw and Martha Sarah Butler; his maternal grandparents were Edward Cobb and Elizabeth Collins. He had four brothers and a sister, named William Larry, James C., Jr., Turner, Aquilla and Margaret. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 67 in 1860 in NC.¹
