Turner was born in 1805 in Bertie Co., NC.1 Turner's father was James C. Castellaw and his mother was Elizabeth Cobb. His paternal grandparents were John Castellaw and Martha Sarah Butler; his maternal grandparents were Edward Cobb and Elizabeth Collins. He had four brothers and a sister, named Starkey, William Larry, James C., Jr., Aquilla and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died in ?.1 -
