Harriet was born in 1834 in Bertie Co., NC.1 Harriet's father was Starkey Castellaw and her mother was Dicey Hoggard. Her paternal grandparents were James C. Castellaw and Elizabeth Cobb; her maternal grandparents were Elisha Hoggard and Amelia White. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Larry, Redden Haywood, Mary, Marthena Jane, Happy Jane, Christian, Barbry E., Caroline and Amelia Elizabeth. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died after 1880 in ?.1 -
