Castellaw and Elizabeth Cobb; her maternal grandparents were Elisha Hoggard and Amelia White. She had two brothers and seven sisters, named Larry, Redden Haywood, Mary, Marthena Jane, Happy Jane, Christian, Harriet, Barbry E. and Caroline. She was the youngest of the ten children.
