She had five brothers and five sisters, named Micajah W., Leonard, Tapley M., Edwin H., James Madison, Elizabeth, Delilah, Tabitha Jane, Catherine S. J. and Martha. In the Buckner Cemetery located in Talbot Co., GA, a headstone is by her
husband with her name and birth date with no death date. She is most
likely buried there.
On the 1880 census of Taylor County, GA., there is a John Wesley Reeves,
23 years old, married to Mitty, age 20, in the household with Mary
Buckner Reeves, Elizabeth (the daughter of Mary), Wiley Reeves and Mattie
Reeves and Edward L. Thomas Reeves. It appears they were in the home of
Seborn French (who may be connected to the Byers Family). I can't
connect to this John Wesley Reeves. My aunt said that Mary Buckner
