Catherine S. J. was born on November 12th, 1816 in GA.1 Catherine S. J.'s father was Wiley W. Buckner and her mother was Judith Tapley Handley. Her paternal grandparents were John H. Buckner and Mary M. Brown. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Micajah W., Leonard, Tapley M., Edwin H., James Madison, Elizabeth, Delilah, Tabitha Jane, Martha and Mary B.. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 72 on March 30th, 1889 in Talbot Co., GA. She was buried in Geneva Cemetery, Talbot Co., GA. Located in the town of Geneva, on what was originally part of the George A. Jameson plantation, & later given to the town as a burial ground..1 1 General Notes
