Isabella was born in Amesbury, Wiltshire. Isabella's father was Theobald de Verdon Lord Westmeath and her mother was Elizabeth de Clare. Her paternal grandparents were Theobald de Verdon Baron Verdun and Margaret (de Verdon); her maternal grandparents were Sir Gilbert the Red de Earl of Gloucester and Joan of Acre Plantagenet Cts de Gloucester. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, William the Brown Earl de Burgh, David, Joan, Elizabeth, Margaret and Elizabeth. She died on July 25th, 1349.General Notes
