Margaret W was born in July 1869 in McLennan Co, Tx. Margaret W's father was Thomas Benton Sparks and her mother was Phereby Ann Mildred Mahala Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Sparks and Elizabeth May Cooper. She had six brothers and a sister, named John Franklin, Andrew Jackson, Richard Marion, Thomas Hawkins, William Doyle Fielder, James William and Sarah Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the eight children.-
