John Franklin Sparks 
John Franklin was born on March 23rd, 1851 in McLennan Co, Tx. John Franklin's father was Thomas Benton Sparks and his mother was Phereby Ann Mildred Mahala Smith. His paternal grandparents were Richard Sparks and Elizabeth May Cooper. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Andrew Jackson, Richard Marion, Thomas Hawkins, William Doyle Fielder, James William, Sarah Elizabeth and Margaret W. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
