Reuben was born on June 22nd, 1729 in Granville Co,NC.1   Reuben's father was John Searcy and his mother was Phoebe Anderson.  His paternal grandparents were John Searcy and Ann. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Bartlett, John , Jr, Richard, Daniel, Elizabeth, Mary, Susannah, Sarah and Ruth.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 86 in 1815 in Sumner Co.,TN.1 


Reuben's first family with Susanna Henderson

‌Reuben and Susanna were married in a religious ceremony on April 23rd, 1760 in Granville County,NC.1   They had six sons and four daughters, named Asa, Bennett, Thomas, Robert, William Washington, John, Sarah, Henrietta, Elizabeth and Polly.


Reuben's second family with Susannah Elizabeth Jett

‌Reuben and Susannah Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony about 1779.5   They had four sons and four daughters, named Reubin, Jesse, James, Richard, Susan, Penelope, Jane and Harriet.
