Bennett Searcy 
Bennett was born on July 7th, 1765 in Granville County,NC.1 Bennett's father was Colonel Reuben Searcy and his mother was Susanna Henderson. His paternal grandparents were John Searcy and Phoebe Anderson; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Henderson and Elizabeth Williams. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Asa, Thomas, Robert, William Washington, John, Sarah, Henrietta, Elizabeth and Polly. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Reubin, Jesse, James, Richard, Susan, Penelope, Jane and Harriet.1 -
