Ethel Mae was born on August 5th, 1891 in Collin County Texas.1 Ethel Mae's father was Howard Morton Patterson and her mother was Martha Hogan Davenport. Her paternal grandparents were Patrick Luther Patterson and Gilla Ann Combest; her maternal grandparents were Newton J. Davenport and Matilda Riggins. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin Harrison, William Walter, Patrick Newton, Chauncy Depew, Merrel, Elzy, Curtis, Myrtle Emma, Alta Ann, Susie Lois and Mary Etta. She had a half-sister named Lorene. She died at the age of 77 on February 1st, 1969 in Decatur Texas, Wise County.1 General Notes
