Benjamin Harrison Patterson 
Benjamin Harrison was born on April 11th, 1889 in Casey County, Kentucky.1 Benjamin Harrison's father was Howard Morton Patterson and his mother was Martha Hogan Davenport. His paternal grandparents were Patrick Luther Patterson and Gilla Ann Combest; his maternal grandparents were Newton J. Davenport and Matilda Riggins. He had six brothers and five sisters, named William Walter, Patrick Newton, Chauncy Depew, Merrel, Elzy, Curtis, Ethel Mae, Myrtle Emma, Alta Ann, Susie Lois and Mary Etta. He had a half-sister named Lorene. He died at the age of 61 on December 1st, 1950 in Henrietta Texas, Clay County.1 General Notes

Listed with his father Howard Morton Patterson in the 1900 Texas Census
in Collin County. Ben was 10 years old at that time.
Listed as Ben Patterson on the 1910 Clay County Texas Census with his age
listed as 21, and the 1920 Clay County, Texas Census. On the 1910 census
page his brother Walter is listed in the same household. I made copies of
each page.

West from their house about 1 or 1 1/2 miles was the two room school
house run by Mr. and Mrs. Ball.
Property which the house and shop was on was owned by a man by the name
of Dowthet (pronounced Dow-thet) (not sure of the spelling)
He later moved shop nearer to Henrietta, probably around 1938 or 1939.
