Wiltha Ann was born on September 20th, 1832 in Kentucky.1   Wiltha Ann's father was Samuel D. Combest and her mother was Nancy Hammond.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; her maternal grandparents were John Hammond and Margaret Peggy Wilson. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named Aaron Wyatt, George Washington, Samuel Dick, Mary Jane, Elzira, Nancy, Margaret, Martha, Maranda and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the eleven children. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William Jasper, Joseph Newton, Martha Belle and Lucy Abigail.  She died at the age of 76 on July 15th, 1909 in Casey County, Kentucky (Trace Fork Cemetery).1
