William Riley Combest 
William Riley was born in 1832 in Kentucky.1 William Riley's father was James Combest and his mother was Nancy Bowmer. His paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; his maternal grandparents were John Bowmer and Phoebe Goodman. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Samuel James, Commadore Perry, Levi, James Wiley, Zachariah Kennedy, John, Mathias and Polly Ann. He died after 1866.1 General Notes
