Alfred Harrison was born on May 3rd, 1837 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Alfred Harrison's father was Joel Dickinson and his mother was Clarissa Almira Rippetoe. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Dickinson and Elizabeth Daniel. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Lafayette M., David Rippetoe, William "Issac", Joel Shadrack, Eliza Ann Jane, Amanda Almira Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Catherine Amanda, Lucinda Jane and Sarah Frances. He was the fourth youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named Robert. He died at the age of 73 on September 18th, 1910.1 General Notes
