Joel Dickinson 
Joel was born on August 30th, 1795 in Wayne Co., NC.1 Joel's father was Isaac Dickinson and his mother was Elizabeth Daniel. His paternal grandparents were Joel Dickinson and Mary Loew Turner; his maternal grandparents were Ephraim Daniel and Brambley Caroline Brown. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Ephraim, Shadrach, Isaac, Catherine, Elizabeth and Polly. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Jonathan, Sarah "Sally" and Martha. He died at the age of 77 on May 27th, 1873 in Dallas Co., AR.1 General Notes
