Martha Buchanan

Martha was born on December 18th, 1793 in Tennessee.¹   Martha's father was John Buchanan and her mother was Jane Patterson.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Buchanan and Martha McNutt. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Samuel, James, William E, John, Matthew, Robert, Andrew, Alexander, Ann, Elizabeth and Nancy.  She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.
