John Buchanan

John was born on June 13th, 1786 in Kentucky.¹   John's father was John Buchanan and his mother was Jane Patterson.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Buchanan and Martha McNutt. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Samuel, James, William E, Matthew, Robert, Andrew, Alexander, Martha, Ann, Elizabeth and Nancy.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 66 on February 26th, 1853 in Lincoln County, Tennessee.¹
