Idoine was born about 1303 in Clifford, Hertfordshire, England.1   Idoine's father was Robert de Clifford Lord Clifford of Appleby and her mother was Maud de Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Clifford and Isabel de Vipont; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Clare Lord Thomond and Juliane FitzMaurice.  She was an only child.  She died on August 24th, 1365.1
