John de Lacy was born in 1192 in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England/Lincoln, England.1   John de Lacy's father was Roger 'Helle' de Lacy Lord Halton and his mother was Matilda de Clare.  His paternal grandparents were John de Lacy and Alice FitzRoger; his maternal grandparents were Richard FitzRoger de Clare Earl of Clare and Amicia FitzRobert.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 48 on July 22nd, 1240 in Stanlaw, Chester, England.1
