William de Ferrers II was born in 1162 in of Ferrers, Derbyshire, England.1 William de Ferrers II's father was William de Ferrers Earl of Derby and his mother was Sibyl de Braose. His paternal grandparents were Robert (William) de Ferrers Earl of Derby and Margaret Peverel; his maternal grandparents were William de Braose II Lord Bramber and Bertha de Pitres. He had two sisters named Agatha and Millicent. He died at the age of 85 on September 22nd, 1247.1 General Notes
