Marrilla Catherine was born on January 12th, 1882.1 Marrilla Catherine's father was Leonard L. Shealy and her mother was Martha Isabelle Comalander. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Shealy and Mary Caroline Sease. She had ten brothers and three sisters, named James Alexander, Jacob Franklin, Andrew Pierson, John Elliott, Jonah Tompson, Perry Haskell, Ludie Mitchell, Birty Lee, Oscar Roland, Ernest Ardell, Angie Ada, Mary Emma and Brinnie Mae. She was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children.-
