John C. was born on February 5th, 1796 in Newberry Co, SC.1 John C.'s father was John Mark Suss\Seas\Sease and his mother was Nancy Shirer. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Sease and Susannah Anhaus. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named John Frederick, Martin, Henry, Eva Christina, Ann Catharine (Katie), Unknown Female #1, Unknown Female #2, Barbara, Eva Margaret and Mary Elizabeth. He died at the age of 69 in December 1865 in bur Family Cem, Chapin, SC. He was buried in December 1865 in Seas/Sease Family Cemetery, Chapin, SC.1 1 General Notes
