Barbara was born in 1793 in Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Barbara's father was John Mark Suss\Seas\Sease and her mother was Nancy Shirer. Her paternal grandparents were Christopher Sease and Susannah Anhaus. She had four brothers and six sisters, named John Frederick, John C., Martin, Henry, Eva Christina, Ann Catharine (Katie), Unknown Female #1, Unknown Female #2, Eva Margaret and Mary Elizabeth. She died in Coosa County, Alabama.1 -
