J. L. Nedward (Ned) Boland 
J. L. Nedward (Ned) was born on March 7th, 1895.1 J. L. Nedward (Ned)'s father was Patrick Boland and his mother was Claton Alice Bowers. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Boland and Elizabeth H. Shealy. He had a brother and six sisters, named Bounce Edward, Bertha Marie, Carrie Lee, Decia Iola, Lera Agnes, Lillie Mae and Cleo Myrtle. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jonas J., Jesse Irvin, Cephas Freddie, Joseph Francis and Magnolia G. (Maggie). He was buried in Newberry Memorial Gardens, Newberry, South Carolina.1 -
