Bertha Marie Boland 
Bertha Marie was born on September 22nd, 1896.1 Bertha Marie's father was Patrick Boland and her mother was Claton Alice Bowers. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Boland and Elizabeth H. Shealy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named J. L. Nedward (Ned), Bounce Edward, Carrie Lee, Decia Iola, Lera Agnes, Lillie Mae and Cleo Myrtle. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jonas J., Jesse Irvin, Cephas Freddie, Joseph Francis and Magnolia G. (Maggie). She died at the age of 58 on June 18th, 1955. She was buried in Lindler Graveyard #1, Chapin, South Carolina.1 1 General Notes
