Overton Cosby was born on May 31st, 1800. Overton Cosby's father was John Minor and his mother was Lucy Landon Carter. His paternal grandparents were John Minor and Elizabeth Cosby; his maternal grandparents were Landon Carter and Mildred Washington Willis. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named John, Landon Carter, Charles Landon Carter, Lewis Willis, Lucius Horatio, Launcelot Byrd, James Monroe, (infant) and Mary Berkley. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-sibling of unknown gender named (infant). He died at the age of 1 on November 7th, 1801.-
