Yelverton Peyton Marshall 
Yelverton Peyton was born on January 31st, 1866 in "The Crag", Fauquier Co., VA. Yelverton Peyton's father was Jaquelin Ambler Marshall and his mother was Rebecca Peyton Marshall. His paternal grandparents were Jaquelin Ambler Marshall and Eliza Letitia Steptoe Clarkson; his maternal grandparents were Edward Carrington Marshall and Rebecca Courtenay Peyton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Jaquelin Ambler, Edward Carrington, William Clarkson, Marion Lewis, Randolph, Rebecca Peyton, Eliza Clarkson and Mildred Pickett. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 61 on December 5th, 1927 in Lynchburg, VA.-
