Eliza Letitia Steptoe was born on January 1st, 1798 in Fauquier Co., VA. Eliza Letitia Steptoe's father was William Clarkson and her mother was Mildred Pickett. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Clarkson and Dorcas Turner; her maternal grandparents were Martin Pickett and Anna Blackwell. She had a brother and four sisters, named Henry Martin, Ann Blackwell, Caroline Matilda, Judith Mildred and Mary Lucinda. She was the third oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 70 on July 27th, 1868. She was buried in Leeds Church, Hume, Fauquier Co., VA.-
