Betsy Lewis Marshall 
Betsy Lewis was born on June 10th, 1841 in "Carrington", Markham, Fauquier Co., VA. Betsy Lewis' father was Edward Carrington Marshall and her mother was Rebecca Courtenay Peyton. Her paternal grandparents were John Marshall and Mary Willis Ambler; her maternal grandparents were John Peyton and Mary Chiswell Lewis. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Edward Carrington, James Keith, Jaquelin Ambler, Mary Lewis, Rebecca Peyton and Courtenay Norton. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 47 on July 10th, 1888 in Alexandria, VA.-
