John Franklin Goodman 
John Franklin was born on July 6th, 1863 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., Virginia. John Franklin's father was Christopher Columbus Goodman and his mother was Ann Marie Harris. His paternal grandparents were Richard Goodman and Molly Beaughn; his maternal grandparents were William Harris and Susan Stanley. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Edgar Muriel, Samuel Buckner, Horace Greely, Nina and Molly Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had seven half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Callum Boyd, William Granville, Lexington, Charles Granerson, Richard Nicholas, Thomas Solomon, Herbert Harrington, Mary Jane, Margaret Perlina, Emma Lucy and Hanover Louisa. He died at the age of 57 on May 12th, 1921 in Richmond, Virginia.-
